The Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Malaysia, H.E. Bulat Sugurbayev, held a meeting with representatives of the Malay Chamber of Commerce of Malaysia.

The parties discussed practical measures to strengthen cooperation between the business communities of Kazakhstan and Malaysia, with particular emphasis on expanding trade, attracting Malaysian investments, and establishing joint ventures.

Ambassador Sugurbayev noted that the Embassy is consistently implementing a comprehensive set of initiatives aimed at deepening bilateral trade and economic relations, promoting investment projects, and supporting the entry of Malaysian businesses into the Kazakh market. He emphasized that Kazakhstan is ready to offer Malaysian companies favorable conditions for setting up production facilities, developing logistics centers, and implementing joint initiatives in the fields of industry, agriculture, and the digital economy.

The Secretary-General of the Malay Chamber of Commerce of Malaysia, Dato Mazrol Nizam bin Abdullah, highlighted Kazakhstan’s strong potential as a key partner and a “gateway to Central Asia.” He announced that the Chamber had decided to open its first-ever overseas office in Kazakhstan. The office will provide comprehensive support for consolidating Malaysian government efforts to promote investors, exporters, and entrepreneurs in Kazakhstan and neighboring regional markets.

The parties also discussed the upcoming business mission of the Malay Chamber of Commerce to Almaty. The program will include meetings with representatives of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs “Atameken,” the city Akimat, and negotiations with Kazakh companies to identify specific areas for investment and partnership.
