The Samara district's tourism industry is actively developing: this summer, nearly 50,000 tourists visited the Samara coast. Thanks to intensive construction work and beach improvements, the annual tourist flow is expected to reach 150,000 by 2030.
"This figure will demonstrate the effectiveness of the investment and infrastructure programs being implemented and will also establish Samara as a key beach tourism center in East Kazakhstan. At the direction of the regional akim, design and estimate documentation is currently being developed for the construction of a modern promenade area on the shore of the Bukhtarma Reservoir," said Serik Zhenisov, akim, during a briefing at the East Kazakhstan Region District Administrative District.
As a reminder, a Tourism and Investment Center opened in the Samara district this year. Now, support for investors, tourists, and small and medium-sized businesses is being provided in a single location.
To expand the district's tourism potential, a memorandum of cooperation was signed this year with the international hotel company Pana Asia. As part of this agreement, a modern hotel project, which must meet international standards, is currently being implemented in the village of Sarybel.
