A new 300-seat school has opened in the Burlin district of the West Kazakhstan region

he educational institution was built as part of the national project “Keleshek Mektepteri” (Schools of the Future), initiated by the Head of State, Kassym-Jomart Kemelevich Tokayev. The opening ceremony was attended by the regional akim and the head of the regional construction department.

Regional Akim Nariman Toregaliev congratulated the residents of the district on the opening of the new school. In his speech, he highlighted the ongoing work in the region to modernize the educational infrastructure.

“The new school will become a truly modern and innovative educational institution focused on the comprehensive development of the younger generation, mastering the achievements of science and technology, and enhancing their creative potential. Overall, over the past three years, 27 schools with a total of 9,206 student places have been built in our region to ensure conditions for quality education. Of these, 16 schools with 1,338 places were constructed under the social investment project of Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B.V., 3 schools with 1,060 places were funded by the local budget, and 2 schools with 508 places were built with funds from the Educational Infrastructure Development Fund. Within the framework of the ‘Keleshek Mektepteri’ project, 6 ‘Keleshek’ schools with a total capacity of 6,300 students have been commissioned, including the one opened today,” said the regional akim.

In the 2025–2026 academic year, the school has 394 students studying in 28 class groups. Of these, 194 students study in Kazakh and 200 in Russian. In addition, 36 children attend three preschool preparation classes. The school employs a total of 51 teachers, including 9 research teachers, 15 expert teachers, and 15 moderator teachers.
