OIC Reform Roadmap Discussed in Jeddah

Jeddah, November 30, 2025 – The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Permanent Representative of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the OIC, Madiyar Menilbekov, participated in the Meeting of the Committee of Permanent Representatives. The meeting focused on reviewing the Draft Roadmap for the OIC Reform Process.
In line with the objectives of the OIC Charter and the OIC Program of Action 2025, the reform of the Organization is recognized as vital for enhancing its efficiency, transparency, and capacity to respond to contemporary challenges. The Draft Roadmap aims to establish a structured approach for implementing meaningful and sustainable reforms while safeguarding the core values of the OIC, including Islamic solidarity, moderation, and unity.
On the sidelines of the event, Ambassador Madiyar Menilbekov held a bilateral meeting with the Assistant Secretary General of the OIC for Political Affairs, Yousef Mohammed Aldobeay, during which the parties exchanged views on issues of effective cooperation within the framework of the Organization.
Furthermore, a meeting of the OIC Asian Group representatives was convened at the initiative of the Kazakh side. During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of mutual interest and agreed to continue joint efforts in implementing initiatives aimed at strengthening intra-group coordination and advancing the collective interests of OIC member states from the Asian region.
