Kazakhstan’s annual recap event held in Rabat

Rabat, December 9, 2025 – On the eve of Kazakhstan's Independence Day, Ambassador Saulekul Saylaukyzy held what has become an annual event at the National Library of the Kingdom of Morocco to review the year's achievements.
The friendly meeting was attended by representatives of the Moroccan Parliament, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Rabat City Hall, civil society, business circles, members of the diplomatic corps, and Kazakh students. A briefing for local media was also held as part of the event.
The Ambassador summarized the year's achievements, presenting information on Kazakhstan's domestic political reforms and achievements, foreign policy initiatives, and bold steps to implement economic reforms.
The Ambassador particularly highlighted the historic official visits to Morocco by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan M. Nurtleu and Chairman of the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan E. Koshanov. Renowned Moroccan businessman and traveler Abdelghani Aboufiraz shared his impressions of a motorcycle trip from Morocco to Kazakhstan and screened a film about his journey.
The event concluded with a performance by students from the Le Printemps Montessori school in Rabat, who, dressed in traditional Kazakh and Moroccan costumes, performed songs, skits, and dances to highlight the strong friendship between Kazakhstan and Morocco.
In the first nine months of 2025, trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Morocco increased by 67% and exceeded $324 million.
To deepen bilateral trade and economic cooperation, the Kazakh-Moroccan Business Council was established.
On March 19, 2025, the Visa Waiver Agreement between Kazakhstan and Morocco entered into force, facilitating travel for citizens of both countries and boosting the development of the economic and tourism sectors.
