Islamabad, 15 December 2025 – An online meeting was held between the Chairman of the Republican Bar Association of Kazakhstan, Mr. M. Myrzagaraev, and the Chairman of the Islamabad Supreme Court Bar Association, Mr. S. Gillani.

Taking into account the growing and multifaceted cooperation between Kazakhstan and Pakistan, Mr. M. Myrzagaraev emphasized the importance of developing legal diplomacy, expanding professional exchanges between lawyers, and organizing joint events, seminars, and conferences aimed at studying the legal systems and legislation of both countries.

For his part, Mr. S. Gillani supported the proposals of the Kazakh side and highlighted the need to establish closer ties between the legal communities of Kazakhstan and Pakistan.

In turn, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan, H.E. Mr. Yerzhan Kistafin, briefed the participants on ongoing efforts aimed at diversifying and expanding bilateral cooperation and stressed the importance of intensifying interaction in the legal sphere between the two countries.

Following the talks, the parties agreed to organize mutual delegation visits in 2026 and expressed their intention to sign a memorandum of cooperation.
