A meeting between Ambassador Malik Murzalin and Chargé d'Affaires of the US Embassy in Georgia Alan Persell took place at the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Tbilisi.
The parties exchanged views on the progress of the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP). Ambassador M. Murzalin noted Kazakhstan's interest in participating in this initiative, as its implementation could lead to a reduction in tariff burdens for shippers and increase the efficiency of regional logistics routes.
The US Chargé d'Affaires paid particular attention to issues related to the development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route.
In response, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan shared plans to increase cargo traffic on this logistics corridor in 2026. He also announced the opening of a new Kazakh multimodal terminal in the port of Poti.
Murzalin informed his colleague about the activities of Kazakhstani enterprises in Georgia, the Batumi seaport and the Batumi oil terminal, as well as the companies Rompetrol and Halyk Bank.
At the end of the meeting, the diplomats agreed to continue contacts and mutual cooperation.
