How to Properly Write a Complaint to a Store

When purchasing goods from a store, it often happens that only after returning home do we discover that the product is defective. What should you do in such a situation? First of all, you need to write a complaint to the store, and it is very important to do it correctly.
A complaint is written in free form, but it must include the following information:
date of purchase;
name of the product;
serial number;
brand (model);
date the complaint is written;
the buyer’s signature with full name.
In the complaint, you should clearly describe the defect found in the product and state your demands — whether you want to exchange the item or receive a refund.
After checking that everything is written correctly, prepare a second copy of the complaint. One copy should remain with you, and the other should be given to the store administrator or an authorized employee. Please note that your copy must contain the date of acceptance and the signature of the person who received the complaint.
If the store refuses to accept your complaint, you may go to the nearest post office and send it by registered mail with an inventory of the enclosed documents to the store’s address. Be sure to keep the postal receipt and the inventory list — these documents will serve as proof that you submitted the complaint within the required time frame.
If you have received a defective product or poor-quality service, do not remain silent. Stand up for your rights — the law is on your side.
