In keeping with annual tradition, the 17th Youth Forum titled "Working Youth: Labor and Innovation" was held, featuring the solemn ceremony of the "Orleu" Youth Award by the District Akim. District Akim Berik Sarmenbayev attended the event and spoke extensively about the ongoing efforts to support the younger generation.

During the forum, the District Akim noted that the annual addresses of the Head of State, Kassym-Jomart Kemelevich Tokayev, place special emphasis on youth policy, assigning specific tasks for the education, health, and comprehensive development of the young generation. In accordance with the President's instructions and with the support of the Regional Akim, Nurlybek Mashbekuly Nalibayev, a number of systemic initiatives are being implemented in the Syr region, and specifically within this district.

Infrastructure for Youth

• "Rukhaniyat" Center: This year, at the initiative of the regional head, the "Rukhaniyat" center was put into operation in the village of Terenozek. This center houses a youth resource center and a wedding palace, creating favorable conditions for the educational, spiritual, and social development of the younger generation.

• "Zhashar" Alley: Additionally, a "Zhastar" (Youth) alley was constructed in one of the scenic areas of Terenozek.

Labor and Employment Initiatives

Special attention is being paid to vocational training and labor for youth. Currently, youth brigades in six villages of the district are officially engaged in farming. They have achieved positive results by planting melons and gourds on 60 hectares of land. The Akim emphasized that this is a clear reflection of the responsibility and active participation of youth in honest labor.

To promote socialization and employment, a mobile job fair called "Opportunity Area" was organized, and the "Best Business Idea" project competition was held to support unemployed youth.

International and National Achievements

The district's youth are achieving high milestones in the fields of public service, education, culture, science, and sports:

• Mukhit Kulmaganbetov: A young scientist and head of the Hong Kong Quantum Ophthalmology Laboratory, achieved great success at the Hong Kong ICT Awards, winning the "Scientific Oscar" and gaining international recognition.

• Asylzhan Abdullayev: A 17-year-old local resident developed "Cortex AI," an artificial intelligence-based startup project aimed at the early detection of lung cancer, introducing fresh innovation to the field of medical diagnostics.

• Samat Nursat: Became the champion of the Republic of Kazakhstan in arm wrestling among youth in the 60 kg weight category at the competition held in the Talgar district of the Almaty region.

Awards and Recognition

In conclusion of the forum, 10 young individuals who have made significant contributions to the implementation of state youth policy and are active within the district were presented with the District Akim's "Orleu" youth award and a financial certificate in the amount of 100,000 tenge. Additionally, several young people were named "Best of the Year" and were honored with "Letters of Appreciation" from the District Akim.

The forum also included organized exhibitions and a concert program dedicated to the youth.
