A rare and unusual event in the history of the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan has once again been recorded in the city of Taraz. In military unit 5513 of the “Oñtüstik” Regional Command, four pairs of twin brothers are simultaneously performing compulsory military service.
This is the second such case registered in the law enforcement troops this year.
From the very first days of conscription, after learning that the servicemen were twins, the command of the military unit decided to keep them together and allow them to serve side by side. This approach is viewed not only as a matter of everyday convenience, but also as an effective means of strengthening psychological resilience and mutual support within the military collective.
Twenty-two-year-old Dias and Iliyas Tolepbergen, conscripted into the National Guard from Almaty Region, are today honorably fulfilling their military duty to the Motherland. One of the brothers, Dias, within the framework of the “Conscript 2.0” program, received the opportunity for tuition-free education at a higher educational institution, proving that the army can become a springboard for a professional future.
For 19-year-old Elkhan and Elshan Nuriyev, military service has become a platform for reaching a new level of athletic achievement. They demonstrate high results in arm wrestling both prior to conscription and during their compulsory service.
Nineteen-year-old Nursultan and Yersultan Berkishov, conscripted from Turkestan Region, differ in character and temperament despite their close kinship. Nevertheless, responsibility for service and loyalty to military discipline unite them toward a common goal.
Aman and Yesen Konar from Shymkent are the eldest children in a large family, followed by two younger brothers and four sisters. Currently, the twin brothers are performing guard duty at Facility No. 58, setting an example for the younger generation and contributing to the security of the country.
The simultaneous service of several pairs of twins in the ranks of the National Guard clearly demonstrates the harmonious combination of human values, brotherhood, and strict discipline. Such rare cases confirm that military service is built not only on formation and order, but also on spiritual unity.
