Today, a regional forum on the topic "Wastefulness is an obstacle to the consistent development of society" was held at the Dostyk House in Shymkent, under the auspices of the Mothers' Council under the city's ANC.
The forum, which discussed the formation of a culture of thrift in society, the efficient use of natural resources, and the strengthening of spiritual values, was attended by chairwomen of the Mothers' Councils of Almaty, Shymkent, and Almaty, Kyzylorda, Zhambyl, and Turkestan regions, representatives of the intelligentsia, ethnocultural associations, and public structures.
The plenary session was chaired by G. Sugirbayeva, Chairwoman of the Mothers' Council under the Shymkent ANC. A. Amzeeva, Deputy Head of the Shymkent City Internal Policy Department and Head of the City ANC Secretariat, opened the forum and noted the importance of today's meeting.
– We believe that honorable mothers will play a special role in further promoting the meaningful thoughts and serious initiatives expressed at the meeting on wastefulness. We believe that if we unite as a society, we can protect the younger generation from social ills and take a leading role in promoting family values.
"I wish the Mothers' Councils success in their work to create a healthy, conscious society and educate honest citizens," said the deputy head of the department.
The forum will feature the following speakers: G. Turymbetova, head of the department of the M. Auezov State University of Economics and Technology, on the topic "Energy Saving: The Path to a Sustainable Future", E. Myrza-Gali, chairwoman of the Mothers' Council under the Zhambyl Region People's Congress, on the topic "Prevention of Wastefulness: From Fathers - a Commandment, from Mothers - a Trait", P. Sultanbekova, associate professor of the M. Auezov State University of Economics and Technology, on the topic "Problems of Water Deficit in the Southern Region", G. Tokkulova, chairwoman of the Mothers' Council under the Turkestan Region People's Congress, on the topic "Formation of an Anti-Wasteful Culture", I. Imankululy, deputy chief imam of the central mosque of Shymkent, religious scholar, on the topic "Spiritual Education and a Thrifty Lifestyle", O. Tazhibayeva, member of the Commission for Women's Affairs and Family and Demographic Policy under the Akim of Shymkent, on the topic "Spiritual Education and a Thrifty Lifestyle", On the topic "Frugality is the basis of sustainable development", the head of the Scientific and Technological Research Center under the Shymkent Academy of Sciences, the director of the department of the O. Zhanibekov State University of Economics, K. Anarbayev, and other citizens spoke and made recommendations on preventing waste.
Mothers who distinguished themselves with their active public service were awarded Letters of Appreciation from the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan and the Republican Mothers' Council.
Following the plenary session, the forum participants adopted an appeal calling on society to be frugal, consume responsibly, and preserve spiritual values.
It is worth noting that, within the framework of the forum, the chairwomen and members of the Mothers' Councils of the southern regions of the country will visit the "Ibrahim Ata" and "Karachash Ana" mausoleums in Shymkent and participate in an event at the "Arofat" school. They will visit the Schoolchildren's Palace No. 2, which is successfully working to provide high-quality additional education to the younger generation, get acquainted with creative projects at the "Shymkent Creative Hub" center and the successful operation of the "Scientific Laboratory" complex at the M. Auezov South Kazakhstan Research University.
