The opening ceremony of the 110/35/10 kV "Akzhar" electrical substation with a capacity of 40 MVA was held in the Kursai residential area of Shymkent. The event was attended by the mayor of the city, Gabit Syzdykbekov.

It is worth noting that the substation equipment has successfully passed all technical inspections and tests. In early 2026, after the installation of the third autotransformer at the 220/110/6 kV "Kazygurt" substation, full load will be provided and the "Akzhar" substation will be fully connected to the city's energy system.

The commissioning of the substation will allow subscribers in the Kursai residential area to connect to the new electricity network, expand business activities, and increase the production capacity of enterprises in the "Trade and Logistics Center" industrial zone.

As a result of the project, a stable and uninterrupted supply of electricity will be achieved through further development of the city's energy system ring network.
