A social and charitable event «New Year's Miracle: The Mystery of the Christmas Tree Ornaments in the Museum-Reserve's Collection» was held at the East Kazakhstan Region Museum-Reserve as part of the «Law and Order» program for students of the Main Secondary Boarding School of the Ust-Kamenogorsk City Education Department. During the event, the students learned about the history of Christmas tree ornaments, the development of design, texture, and material from the 1920s to the 1980s, using the museum-reserve's collection as a reference. The museum exhibits delighted the students: a Santa Claus made of sawdust from the 1930s, massive ornaments made of thick glass from the late 1940s, clothespin ornaments from the 1950s, and popular plastic toys from the 1960s. The children participated in a Christmas tree decoration race and danced in a circle. The meeting took place in a warm, festive atmosphere.
