Montreal, 15 January 2026 – Mr. Timur Tlegenov, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), met with Ms. Şebnem Cenk, the newly appointed Permanent Representative of Türkiye to ICAO, who paid a courtesy visit to the Permanent Representation of Kazakhstan.

During the meeting, the Parties discussed issues of bilateral cooperation between Kazakhstan and Türkiye within the framework of ICAO, including mutual support, as well as cooperation in the fields of flight safety and aviation security. Particular attention was drawn to the friendly and brotherly nature of Kazakh–Turkish relations, as well as to the high frequency of direct air services between the two countries.

Issues related to the exchange of experience between civil aviation authorities, the provision of assistance and technical support, and the organization of training activities for aviation professionals were discussed.

The meeting was held in a friendly and constructive atmosphere. The Parties agreed to maintain and further develop bilateral contacts.
