A comprehensive event dedicated to the implementation of the right of servicemen and their family members to free travel by rail was held at the Main Command of the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan. During the meeting, personnel were briefed on the details of the new social initiative, and mechanisms for its effective implementation in the regions were thoroughly discussed.

As part of the briefing, it was announced that starting from January 1, 2026, servicemen of all law enforcement agencies of the Republic of Kazakhstan and their family members will be entitled to free travel on passenger trains within the country once a year. This initiative is aimed at improving the social welfare of servicemen and expanding opportunities for family travel.

During the explanatory session, Ainur Bazarbayeva, Chief Manager of the Department of Economics and Transportation Accounting at JSC “Passenger Transportation,” noted that the right to free travel applies exclusively to passenger trains operating on domestic routes within Kazakhstan. It was also explained that the related expenses will be reimbursed at the expense of the national company “Kazakhstan Temir Zholy.”

The event was attended by Dias Tusipbekov, Director of the Tariff Policy Department of JSC “National Company Kazakhstan Temir Zholy,” who answered questions from servicemen and elaborated on possible technical and organizational aspects related to the use of the benefit.

Summing up the meeting, Major General Kairat Umbetov, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Educational and Social-Legal Work, emphasized the importance of this initiative.

He stressed the need for strict compliance with the established requirements during the implementation of the project and noted that this social support measure will enhance the level of social protection for servicemen and their families, enable advance vacation planning, and significantly reduce travel expenses.
