HEAD OF STATE KASYM-ZHOMART TOKAYEV ON A WORKING VISIT TO DAVOS, SWITZERLAND

As part of the visit, a signing ceremony for the Charter of the Peace Council, established at the initiative of US President Donald Trump, was held.

During the ceremony, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed the Charter of the Peace Council. This step demonstrates Kazakhstan's support for initiatives aimed at strengthening global stability and international security.

During the ceremony in Davos, a number of media outlets asked about a brief conversation between the Head of State and the President of the United States of America, Donald Trump. According to Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, paragraph 177 of the official document “365 Victories in 365 Days of President Donald Trump” distributed at the Davos forum noted Kazakhstan’s accession to the Abraham Accords as an important achievement.

The Head of State also wished Donald Trump success in implementing a domestic policy based on common sense. In turn, the US President thanked Kassym-Jomart Tokayev for his support for the initiative to establish the Peace Council.

This meeting and the signed documents are considered an important step towards further strengthening mutual understanding and international cooperation between Kazakhstan and the United States.
