On 19–20 January 2026, a regular meeting of experts on the mutual recognition of Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) programs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Türkiye was held in Astana.

The work on concluding an Agreement on the mutual recognition of Authorized Economic Operator programs between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Türkiye is being carried out in accordance with the Action Plan between the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Türkiye on issues of mutual recognition of Authorized Economic Operator programs, signed by the heads of the customs authorities of the two countries.

In accordance with the Action Plan, the measures предусмотренные at the first and second stages have been completed. Currently, the third stage is being implemented, which is important and decisive. The final, fourth stage of the Action Plan is the signing of a bilateral agreement.

As part of the visit, site visits were carried out to the facilities of Authorized Economic Operators: in Astana — COCA-COLA BOTTLERS LLP, and in Karaganda — EURASIAN FOODS JSC. The purpose of the site visits was to study the companies’ activities related to the organization of customs control of goods, accounting and record-keeping of goods subject to customs control, as well as ensuring security and protection.

The mutual recognition of Authorized Economic Operator status will contribute to the simplification of procedures, acceleration of the movement of goods across the border, and reduction of administrative costs for participants in foreign economic activity.

The parties confirmed their commitment to developing bilateral cooperation based on mutual respect and trust.
