Prospects for cooperation with APM Terminals in the port of Poti discussed at the Embassy of Kazakhstan

Tbilisi, 26 January – Ambassador of Kazakhstan Malik Murzalin has held a meeting with Regional Director of APM Terminals Igor van den Essen and Managing Director of APM Terminals Poti Christian Roder.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for cooperation in the field of logistics and transport at the port of Poti, as well as possible areas for expanding cooperation within the framework of the Middle Corridor.

Particular attention was paid to the potential of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route and the role of Georgia's Black Sea ports in ensuring sustainable logistics chains. In particular, issues related to increasing the throughput capacity of port infrastructure, digitalisation of logistics processes and attracting investment in the transport sector were discussed.

Ambassador M. Murzalin emphasised Kazakhstan's interest in deepening cooperation with international logistics operators, noting the importance of cooperation with APM Terminals.

Following the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to continue the dialogue and implement joint initiatives aimed at expanding Kazakhstan's trade and economic ties in international markets.
