The Invisible Front: Seminar and Training for Military Psychologists Held in the National Guard

A seminar and training session for military psychologists was held in the city of Astana at the base of military unit 5573 of the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The event was aimed at strengthening the psychological resilience of servicemen and preventing stress-related conditions that arise in the course of service.
The seminar was conducted within the framework of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan’s program “Psychotherapeutic Support for the Activities of Psychological Services, Law Enforcement Units, and Servicemen.” It was organized pursuant to a memorandum of cooperation between the International Association of Social Psychotherapists, Counselors, and Psychotechnologists and the Main Command of the National Guard.
During the seminar, participants thoroughly examined issues related to overcoming psychological crises among servicemen, preventing emotional burnout, restoring internal resources, and coping with stressful situations. They became familiar with modern psychotherapeutic methods and practical exercises based on real service-related scenarios.
The seminar and training were conducted by Vladimir Savkin, Doctor of Psychological Sciences, Professor, and international expert, who presented effective approaches to working with specialists of law enforcement and military structures and led practical sessions.
Lieutenant Saltanat Adilova, psychologist of military unit 5573, emphasized the importance of psychological training:
“Servicemen perform their duties under conditions of high responsibility and constant psycho-emotional stress. Psychological training is a crucial component in maintaining combat readiness,” she noted.
Following the three-day event, a final session was held, during which certificates were presented to participants by Major General Kairat Umbetov, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the National Guard for Educational and Social-Legal Work. Major Alibek Abdilov, Advisor to the Commander-in-Chief, also addressed the participants, highlighting the importance of psychological resilience in military service.
It should be noted that such events are aimed at ensuring not only the physical but also the psychological safety of servicemen. A strong force is built first and foremost on soldiers who maintain inner balance.
