Addis Ababa, June 21, 2026 – The Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia participated in a large-scale environmental campaign as part of the "Green Legacy" national initiative.

The event was attended by representatives of the country's executive authorities, heads of diplomatic missions, international and non-governmental organizations, volunteers, and the media.

The "Green Legacy" initiative serves as a powerful driver for building an ecologically sustainable state, consolidating society and international partners around the ideas of inclusivity and a collective future.

The Embassy of Kazakhstan expresses its gratitude to the Government of Ethiopia for the opportunity to participate in the program, which represents an important step toward sustainable development, strengthening international partnership, and shared care for the planet's future.

For reference: As of June 2026, approximately 48 billion saplings have been planted in Ethiopia, with plans to add another 8 billion this year.
