Guardsmen Take the Military Oath in Astana
02.02.2026 16:25:32 171At the capital’s military unit No. 6636 of the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, about 170 servicemen solemnly took the Military Oath.
Parents of the soldiers and veterans attended the ceremony, wishing the young guardsmen successful service and a good journey ahead.
The event opened with a welcoming address by the unit commander, Colonel Erlan Buranbayev. He emphasized the high level of responsibility placed on servicemen and the importance of loyalty to military duty. Veterans and parents also offered their congratulations, noting that service to the Motherland is an honorable and responsible mission.
“Military service is an honor for every citizen. Therefore, do not waste this year. Devote each day to building character and strengthening discipline. Support one another, because unity in formation is the key to victory. Live up to the trust of the Motherland! Carry our banner with pride! Serve for the sake of peace and the strength of Kazakhstan!” — Colonel Erlan Buranbayev said.
During the ceremony, servicemen of the senior intake shared their experience and demonstrated hand-to-hand combat techniques. For the young guardsmen, this was not only a spectacular performance but also one of their first practical lessons in the service ahead.
Over the coming year, the new recruits will serve in the city of Astana, carrying out their assigned duties and fulfilling their obligation to the Motherland.
It is worth noting that this year about 170 servicemen from the Akmola, Kostanay, Turkistan, Pavlodar, Karaganda, East Kazakhstan regions, and the Ulytau Region were conscripted into military unit No. 6636.
