Implementation of REPA Conveyor Equipment’s Investment Project in Kazakhstan Discussed in Alkmaar

January 30, 2026, Alkmaar — A meeting was held between the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Akan Rakhmetullin, and Mr. Richard van der Laan, Head of the Dutch company REPA Conveyor Equipment, during which the prospects for implementing new investment initiatives of the company in Kazakhstan were discussed.
During the meeting, the management of REPA Conveyor Equipment provided an update on the current status of the investment project aimed at launching the production of conveyor rollers in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The project is considered as the first stage of localizing the company’s high-tech manufacturing capacities and is designed to meet the growing demand from the mining, metallurgical, and logistics sectors of the economy.
Highlighting the high potential of the Kazakh market, the company’s representatives emphasized its strategic geographical location, developed industrial base, and the consistent state policy aimed at attracting foreign investment. According to the management of REPA Conveyor Equipment, Kazakhstan is viewed not only as a promising sales market but also as a regional manufacturing hub for the subsequent export of products to Central Asia and the broader Eurasian region.
Taking into account the favorable investment climate, the company is also considering the possibility of further expanding its presence in the country. In the medium term, in addition to the production of conveyor rollers, the launch of production lines for conveyor drums and conveyor belts is planned, as well as the development of service and engineering support for industrial enterprises.
Ambassador Akan Rakhmetullin emphasized Kazakhstan’s interest in attracting high-tech manufacturing, creating new jobs, and facilitating the transfer of advanced industrial technologies, confirming the readiness of the Kazakh side to provide the necessary support for the implementation of investment projects by Dutch companies.
Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their mutual interest in further developing cooperation and continuing dialogue on issues of industrial cooperation, production localization, and technological partnership.
