KAZAKHSTAN-PAKISTAN COOPERATION: A NEW STAGE IN CULTURE AND SPORTS

As part of the state visit of the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Pakistan, several cultural and educational centers and the Dostyk sports complex were inaugurated in Islamabad. These events are aimed at strengthening humanitarian cooperation between the two countries and creating new opportunities in the cultural, educational and sports spheres.
The Al-Farabi Cultural and Educational Center was opened as part of cooperation between the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the Kaid-i-Azam University and is equipped with educational, methodological and scientific literature, as well as modern computer equipment. Kazakh language courses will be organized at the center.
The Kanysh Satpayev Center is dedicated to the development of bilateral cooperation in the field of science, education and technology between the Kazakh National Technical Research University named after K. Satpayev and the Pakistan National University of Science and Technology.
The Khoja Akhmet Yassawi Center was opened by agreement between the Khoja Akhmet Yassawi International Kazakh-Turkish University and the International Islamic University of Islamabad.
The Dostyk Sports Complex is expected to develop bilateral cooperation in the following areas: togyzkumalak, Kazakh kuresi, chess, Qazaq batyry mixed martial arts, grappling, and boxing. Joint training camps will also be organized to train Pakistani coaches and athletes.
These projects are an important step towards raising cultural, humanitarian and sports cooperation between Kazakhstan and Pakistan to a new level and deepening mutual understanding and friendly ties between the peoples.
