The city coalition “For a Just and Progressive People's Constitution of Kazakhstan!” was created in Shymkent. The main task of the coalition is to widely explain the changes proposed for referendum to residents, ensure open and meaningful public dialogue, and create conditions for citizens to participate consciously in the campaign.

Murat Zholdykhozhayev was appointed as the head of the Shymkent city coalition. In the future, the coalition will consist of 150 people. They include representatives of political parties, party supporters, public figures, representatives of the intelligentsia and youth activists. During the campaign period, coalition members plan to hold meetings, discussions and explanatory events in online and offline formats in accordance with the approved online schedule.

It should be noted that yesterday in Astana, with the participation of the Chairman of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, party chairman Yerlan Koshanov, the country's leading socio-political forces united in the National Coalition "For a Just and Progressive People's Constitution of Kazakhstan!" The coalition includes five leading political parties - "AMANAT", "Auyl", "Ak Zhol", "Respublica", "Kazakhstan Halyk Partisi" and more than 300 public organizations representing the interests of millions of citizens.

All political forces unanimously support the draft New Constitution. The proposed changes and additions cover all sections of the Constitution and will be introduced in 77 articles. This is 84 percent of the total text. The new version consists of 11 sections and 96 articles (previously there were 9 sections and 99 articles).

The work of the city coalition will be aimed at uniting society on the eve of the upcoming referendum, taking into account the opinion of every citizen and actively participating in important decisions regarding the future of the country.
