The new Constitution of Kazakhstan will include a new tool for the accelerated development of individual regions. How this mechanism will accelerate the regional economy, Majilis deputies explained during the Referendum-2026 online marathon.
Mazhilis deputy Askhat Rakhimzhanov said that this mechanism is primarily aimed at attracting additional foreign investment to the regions. According to him, this will allow for the effective realization of the potential of each region, taking into account its specifics. This approach has a multiplier effect: not only a single city will benefit from development, but also its surrounding territories and additional economic sectors.
"As for security issues, it should be noted that they are not intended to be considered separately. The Constitution clearly establishes the territorial integrity and indivisibility of the country. The structure of state power remains unchanged. At the same time, the adoption of appropriate constitutional laws for cities of rapid development is envisaged. All decisions are made within the existing legal framework and under the control of state bodies. The special legal regime is aimed at creating additional conditions for their development," concluded Askhat Rakhimzhanov.
