An expert dialogue on the topic "New Constitution: A New Architecture of Trust and Development" was held in Astana. During the event, the main provisions of the new draft Constitution, as well as its institutional, legal and political significance, were discussed in an open format.
The expert forum was jointly organized by the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies and the Institute of Public Policy. The meeting was attended by deputies of the Parliament, members of the Constitutional Commission, representatives of state bodies, academia, expert associations and civil society institutions. This is a clear indication of the broad involvement of various representatives of society in the discussion of the new draft Constitution.
State Councilor Erlan Karin, who participated in the event, particularly emphasized the essence and historical significance of the new Constitution. According to him, the new Constitution is not only the highest legal document, but also a reflection of public agreement. The document clearly reflects the uniqueness of our country and the public consensus on key issues.
Also, for the first time, science, education, and innovation will be established as the strategic foundation of the state's development. This is an important step that clarifies Kazakhstan's aspiration to become a technologically advanced country. The new Constitution will define the priority areas of the country's development and set a new vector of prosperity.
Within the framework of three panel sessions, experts comprehensively discussed the main innovations of the new project and shared their recommendations. The open dialogue format creates a basis for strengthening public trust and joint adoption of strategic decisions.
The new Constitution is a guiding light for the future, a solid foundation for trust and sustainable development.
