For over 20 years, the NGO Legal Center for Women's Initiatives "Sana Sezim" has provided systematic support to people in the most vulnerable situations—victims of domestic violence, human trafficking, labor exploitation, and undocumented individuals. The organization has developed a comprehensive assistance model that combines legal, psychological, and social support, as well as active outreach.
Comprehensive assistance to victims of human trafficking
One of Sana Sezim's key activities is combating human trafficking. The organization's specialists identify victims, including migrant workers and other vulnerable groups, and help them escape exploitative situations and conditions amounting to slavery.
The work is based on the principle of "from identification to restoration of rights." Victims are provided with:
· emergency advisory assistance;
· support when contacting law enforcement agencies;
· legal protection and representation of interests in the restoration of violated rights;
· assistance in voluntary return to the country of origin, if necessary.
The Sana Sezim legal service handles cases involving labor exploitation, non-payment of wages, illegal retention of documents, restrictions on freedom of movement, and other forms of coercion. Particular attention is paid to the safety of victims and maintaining confidentiality.
Psychosocial support and reintegration
In addition to legal assistance, the organization provides psychosocial support: specialists conduct individual consultations, help cope with traumatic experiences, develop safety plans, and facilitate the restoration of social connections. Victims also receive employment counseling and access to necessary medical and social services.
Collaboration with government agencies and law enforcement agencies allows us to improve mechanisms for identifying victims, referring them to specialists, and protecting their rights.
Prevention and awareness
The organization conducts active outreach and education efforts aimed at reducing the risks of violence and human trafficking. The NGO "Sana Sezim" conducts campaigns, distributes brochures and informational materials, and organizes trainings and educational meetings for youth, migrants, and other at-risk groups. This work helps develop safe behavior skills, improves legal literacy, and fosters a culture of zero tolerance for violence and exploitation.
