In Shymkent, JSC "Khimfarm" (trademark - "Polpharma Santo") is implementing a large-scale investment project to expand production. The corresponding investment agreement was approved by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Note that the total volume of private investments will be about 40 bln. Tenge. The project envisages the construction of new production facilities and the expansion of the product line up to 38 names of medicines, including means for the treatment of oncological, cardiovascular and infectious diseases.

The start of the first phase of production is planned for the end of 2029. As part of the implementation of the investment project, about 300 new jobs will be created, which will have a positive effect on the social and economic development of the metropolis.

The Polish side also intends to build a Quality and Innovation Center in Shymkent, which will include a research and testing center and modern laboratories for the development of new medicinal products.

It is worth emphasizing that the opening of the plant will increase the share of domestic production of medicines, reduce dependence on imports and strengthen the position of Shymkent as one of the key pharmaceutical centers of the country.
