On February 27, the nation’s capital hosted one of the most prestigious dance events of the year—the CHOREO-2026 All-Kazakhstan Competition of Street and Modern Choreography. The scale of the event was truly impressive, bringing together the strongest dance troupes from major cities across Kazakhstan and Russia.
The exemplary dance ensemble "Diamonds" drew special attention from both the jury and the audience. It is worth highlighting the unique nature of their participation: the dancers from the village of Tobol, located in the Beimbet Mailin district, were the sole representatives of a rural area at this prestigious international tournament. Despite competing against leading urban dance academies, "Diamonds" proved that true talent and professionalism know no geographical boundaries.
Competing in the most challenging category among professional groups, the senior "Diamonds" team presented a breathtaking performance titled "Aidahar" (The Dragon). Their powerful energy, flawless technique, and striking imagery captivated the judging panel. By the jury's decision, the ensemble was awarded the Gold Cup, confirming their status as one of the strongest in the country.
For the junior team, participating in an event of such caliber was both a major challenge and an invaluable experience. Despite intense competition from elite capital-based studios, the young dancers successfully ranked among the top ten ensembles of the competition. This achievement underscores the continuity of skill and the high potential of the rising "Diamonds" generation.
This victory in Astana serves as brilliant proof that the Beimbet Mailin district is a true forge of talent, capable of worthily representing the region on both national and international stages.
Congratulations to the members of "Diamonds," their director Evgeniya Alexandrovna Orlova, and the parents on this stellar performance and well-deserved awards! The district is proud of its champions!
