The chief nurse of the state communal enterprise on the right of economic management "regional HIV prevention Center" of the health department of the Akimat of the West Kazakhstan region conducted an information and explanatory lecture among convicts in the economic detachment No. 74 on the topic of HIV infection prevention. The purpose of this event is to prevent the spread of HIV infection among special populations, raise awareness of convicts about the disease, as well as develop skills of responsible attitude to their health. During the lecture, the participants were provided with detailed information about the ways of HIV transmission, the first signs, preventive measures and the importance of timely medical examination. In addition, it was explained that HIV infection can be transmitted through blood, through unprotected sex, and from mother to child. At the same time, it was noted that the infection is not transmitted through household contact, that is, by shaking hands, talking, using shared dishes. During the meeting, the convicts explained the need to maintain personal hygiene, lead a healthy lifestyle and avoid risky behavior. The participants provided specific answers to the questions raised, and provided information and explanatory materials.
