Damu Foundation launches the "Orleu - leasing" program to modernize production facilities

As part of the execution of the instructions of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Damu Entrepreneurship Development Fund announces the launch of a new program, Orleu – Leasing, aimed at modernizing and retrofitting small and medium-sized businesses in the manufacturing industry.
The new tool will expand SMEs' access to preferential leasing financing and stimulate the renewal of production facilities. The program allows enterprises to raise funds for the purchase of modern equipment within 10 working days without additional collateral. In this way, enterprises will be able to increase competitiveness and solve the problem of a worn-out material and technical base.
Program conditions:
Amount of financing: up to 300 million tenge per borrower;
Term: from 3 to 5 years old;
Remuneration rate: fixed rate of 12.6% per annum;
Purpose of financing: purchase of new equipment;
Advance payment: 10 % of the value of the leased item;
To obtain a lease, an enterprise must be an operating SME entity, have the necessary production facilities and operate on the market for at least 1 year. There is also a condition that the turnover of the enterprise for the previous calendar year must exceed the cost of the purchased equipment by at least 1.5 times.
It is possible to purchase equipment from a domestic manufacturer or from an official distributor /dealer of the manufacturer, providing warranty and service for a period of at least one year.
In order to implement the new program, the Damu Foundation and the KazLeasing Association of Leasing Companies of Kazakhstan signed a Memorandum of Cooperation providing financing to leasing companies in accordance with the terms and requirements of the program.
At the current stage, the Fund's partners are participating in the program: Halyk Leasing, BCC Leasing, ForteLeasing and Nur Leasing.

The program provides for reciprocal commitments to achieve a socio-economic impact, which is a standard and well-founded practice when participating in government support measures. Since financing is provided on preferential terms with the involvement of government resources, a corresponding contribution of business to the development of the economy and employment is expected.
The Orleu– Leasing program will become an additional instrument of state support aimed at updating the manufacturing sector and increasing the sustainability of small and medium-sized businesses in Kazakhstan.
