"Adal Azamat" and "Impeccable reputation" as a model of behavior of civil servants

On March 4 of this year, the Ethics Commissioner of the Kostanay Region, K. Sundikov, and the Deputy Head of the Department of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Civil Service Affairs in the Kostanay Region, G. Shagirova, held a seminar-meeting at the Department of Agriculture and Land Relations on compliance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of civil service and the Ethical Code of Civil Servants of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

G. Shagirova drew the participants' attention to the observance by civil servants of restrictions, including on participation in gambling (betting), visiting gambling establishments. She also informed about disciplinary practice, the procedure for submitting declarations, restrictions on entrepreneurship for certain categories of representatives of the quasi-public sector, and conflict of interest.

The civil servants were informed about upcoming changes in legislation providing for a hybrid model of civil service, calculation of length of service, accounting for performance evaluation of a civil servant, and the impact of assessing public satisfaction with the services received.   

K. Sundikov informed about the progress of implementing measures to promote the professional and personal qualities of civil servants in accordance with the ideals of "Adal Azamat" for 2025-2027, requirements for compliance with ethical standards, rational use of official vehicles, the culture of public speaking, the principles of a secular state, and other issues.
