The Astana Department of the Committee for Regulation and Control of Social Welfare of the Population informs that, in accordance with the Rules for Providing Persons with Disabilities with Prosthetic and Orthopedic Care, Technical Assistive (Compensatory) Devices, and Special Mobility Aids in Accordance with the Individual Program for the Habilitation and Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities, Including Replacement Deadlines, service recipients are provided with diapers through the social services portal within the established annual limit of 1,460 diapers per recipient.
Diapers are distributed quarterly, with a minimum of 365 diapers. A new order may be issued no earlier than 60 calendar days after the previous receipt. This period allows for timely submission of applications and ensures the continuity of this state support measure.
Service registration is completed electronically. After selecting the required number of diapers (within the established limit), the application is automatically generated by the system. The service recipient must correctly indicate the required quantity, after which the application is submitted for review. The introduction of a quarterly payment system is necessary to strengthen oversight of the targeted use of budget funds. Previously, when the annual lump sum was issued, there were cases of unused diapers being sold to third parties, as well as instances of monetization of the support program, which contradicts its social purpose.
The adopted changes are aimed at ensuring the targeted, transparent, and effective provision of state support to recipients of social funds.
