A roundtable discussion on the topic "Economic Development of the Region: Inter-Sectoral Dialogue" was held in Kostanay.

The event was attended by heads of sectoral departments, entrepreneurs, representatives of financial organizations, and deputies of the regional maslikhat. During the meeting, issues of socio-economic development of the region and the draft of the new Constitution were discussed.

The region's Akim, Kumar Aksakalov, noted that the upcoming referendum should be conducted openly and fairly, and emphasized that the main principles of the new Constitution are aimed at developing human capital and protecting civil values.

"On March 15, a national referendum on the adoption of the new Constitution will be held. For the first time, the preamble of the Constitution defines respect for the individual, responsibility, and justice as core values. This confirms that the main priority of state policy is the individual, their rights, and quality of life," said the head of the region.

According to the region's Akim, as the region's economy develops, so does the population's well-being. Many new jobs are being created, and residents' incomes are increasing significantly. Modern infrastructure is expanding, and all conditions are being created for young people to receive quality education.

"In recent years, the state has paid special attention to education, science, innovation, and, most importantly, the development of human capital. For the first time, the preamble of the new Constitution defines respect for the individual, responsibility, and justice as key state priorities. The principle 'Not the individual for the state, but the state for the individual' is becoming the foundation of all state policy," noted Kumar Aksakalov.

To attract investment, a pool of 79 projects with a total value of 2.4 trillion tenge has been formed in the region. The implementation of these projects will create 13.2 thousand new jobs.

In 2025, 12 industrial projects worth 337.3 billion tenge were implemented, creating 3.5 thousand new jobs.

Thanks to state support for agricultural producers, production volume has increased by 48% over the past two years.

For the further development of livestock farming, 50 billion tenge has been allocated this year for the implementation of pasture livestock projects and the development of pasture infrastructure.

This will allow the region to continue leading the republic in the export of processed agricultural products.

Dual degree programs are being implemented at the region's higher education institutions in partnership with leading world universities. Twenty-one new specialties have been opened in universities and colleges to train personnel in fields such as mechanical engineering, metallurgy and mining, economics and construction, energy, and information systems.

"As the Head of State noted, 'A Just Kazakhstan begins with every region, every village, and the life of every citizen.' An important political campaign lies ahead. These are decisions directly related to the future of our country. I am confident that the people of Kostanay will support the draft of the new Constitution and contribute to the renewal of the country," said the region's Akim.

The meeting also featured speeches by the Chairman of the Regional Maslikhat, Sailaubek Yeshanov; the Director of the Regional Branch of the "Atameken" Chamber of Entrepreneurs, Renat Davletbayev; and the Director of the "Eurasian Bank" branch, Kyrmyzy Zhanyrshina, who explained the mechanisms of the new Constitution.
