Buenos Aires, March 5, 2026 – At the invitation of the Argentine National Football Association (AFA), Kazakhstan's Ambassador to Brazil and Argentina, Bolat Nussupov, visited the offices and stadium of Argentina's leading football club, CARP (Club Atlético Rio Plate).

Santiago David, Executive Director of Physical Fitness and Public Relations, presented the club, including its international relations and exchange programs. He also discussed the various sports clubs and the campus within the stadium, which the club offers to the general public of the Argentine capital.

During the talks, the parties discussed the possibility of establishing cooperation between the national football federations of Kazakhstan and Argentina, as well as football clubs in the two countries. The Argentine side proposed organizing campus courses and short-term training sessions for young Kazakhstani athletes at the CARP football club.

River Plate Football Club (Club Atlético River Plate, CARP) is one of the most successful and popular football clubs in Argentina, founded in 1901 in Buenos Aires. The club has won more than 37 national championships and plays at the Mas Monumental stadium (capacity 85,000), the largest stadium in South America.

At different times, such famous Argentine footballers as Gabriel Batistuta, Enzo Francescoli, Norberto Alonso, Daniel Pasarella, Neri Pumpido, Oscar Ruggieri, Julian Álvarez, Enzo Fernández, and Marcos Acuña played for this club.
