The Argentine Foreign Ministry “sets the clock” for bilateral cooperation

Buenos Aires, March 6, 2026 – As part of working visit to the Argentine Republic, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Federative Republic of Brazil and concurrently to Argentina, Bolat Nussupov held a meeting with Director of International Economic Affairs, Silvina Murphy and Political Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Marcia Levaggi.
During the meeting, the Argentine side was informed about the upcoming constitutional reforms aimed at comprehensive political and legal modernization of the state and completion of the transition to a new stage of institutional development. It was separately noted that a republican referendum on the adoption of the draft new Constitution is scheduled for March 15, 2026, during which the country's citizens will make a final decision on the updated constitutional model.
In this context, the parties noted with satisfaction a number of achievements in the implementation of the bilateral agenda. In particular, they highlighted the creation of the Kazakhstan-Argentina parliamentary friendship group in the Argentine Parliament in 2024 and the holding of its first joint online meeting with Kazakhstani partners on December 18, 2024. They also noted the establishment in 2025 of the Kazakhstan-Argentina Business Council, co-chaired by the Meat Union of Kazakhstan and the Argentine National Institute for the Promotion of Beef, as well as the creation of the Kazakhstan-Argentina Chamber of Commerce and Industry in 2026.
At the end of the meeting, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan confirmed the invitation to the Argentine side to visit Astana for the next round of political consultations at a time convenient for both parties.
