An emergency meeting was held in Kostanay in connection with the collapse of part of the roof of a house at 11 Kochubey Street.

This eight-apartment building was declared an emergency last year. Currently, there are 6 families living in it — a total of 24 people.

In order to ensure the safety of residents, following a meeting with emergency personnel, it was decided to move them to safe housing as soon as possible.

The mayor of the city personally inspected the roof of the house, met with the residents and informed them of the decision.

The issue is being addressed by a private developer. The house at 11 Kochubey Street is included in the territory of the developed project of detailed planning of the area. The developer has committed to rent temporary apartments for families until the construction is completed, after which residents will be provided with apartments in a new building equivalent to their current housing.

The demolition of dilapidated houses will be carried out within the framework of the housing renovation program adopted by the Akimat of Kostanay. At the time of the program's adoption, there were 5 such houses in the city: one has already been settled, and 4 more are located on Kochubeya and Sadovaya streets.

According to the plan, the issue of all emergency houses in the city will be resolved by the end of the year.
