March 14 is celebrated in Kazakhstan as the Day of Land Management, Geodesy and Cartography — a professional holiday for specialists who ensure the maintenance of the land cadastre, the accuracy of geodetic data and the rational use of the country’s land resources.

According to the State Corporation “Government for Citizens”, since the beginning of 2026 about 68 thousand public services have been provided to citizens in the field of land cadastre. For comparison, in 2025 around 487 thousand services were delivered, which indicates a high demand for services related to land relations.

On the eve of the professional holiday, representatives of the State Corporation took part in a scientific seminar titled “Land Management and Cadastre: Modern Approaches and Digital Tools.” The event was held at the Institute of Land Resources, Architecture and Design.

During the seminar, representatives of the Department of Land Cadastre of the Non-profit Joint-Stock Company “State Corporation Government for Citizens” (NJSC) delivered a presentation titled “Digital Technologies in the Land Cadastre.” During the presentation, specialists spoke about the development of the digital land cadastre and the capabilities of the information system “Unified State Real Estate Cadastre.”

The discussion of modern approaches and digital tools is directly related to the development of public services in the field of land relations. Today, the State Corporation provides citizens with a range of services in the land cadastre sector, including the provision of information from the state land cadastre, preparation of cadastral documents for land plots, as well as determination of the cadastral value of land.

In addition, services related to changing the designated purpose of land plots, extending lease terms, and purchasing land plots are also provided. Since 2026, these services have been automated, which has simplified the process of obtaining them and reduced the time required for their delivery in the field of land relations.

“The development of public services in the field of land relations remains one of the key areas of work for the State Corporation. We consistently improve services, automate processes and simplify procedures so that citizens can resolve issues related to land plot registration more quickly and conveniently,” said Arman Kenzhegaliev, Chairman of the Management Board of the NJSC “State Corporation Government for Citizens.”

A ceremonial event was also held today within the State Corporation, during which employees of the system were awarded. In total, 209 specialists across the country were recognized with departmental awards.

In particular, 21 specialists were awarded the badge “Honored Land Management Specialist,” 19 representatives of the industry received the honorary diploma “Best Land Management Specialist,” and 75 employees were awarded the anniversary medal of the State Corporation. In addition, letters of appreciation from the Chairman of the Management Board of the State Corporation and the First Vice Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan were presented.
