The Consulate General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Samarkand announces the resumption of off-season flights on the Almaty-Samarkand-Almaty route, operated by Kazakhstani airline FlyArystan, beginning March 17, 2026.

         Flights are planned to operate twice a week—on Tuesdays and Sundays.

         The resumption of air service between Almaty and Samarkand will contribute to the further development of tourism, business, cultural, and humanitarian ties between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as strengthen interregional cooperation.

         Samarkand, one of the oldest centers of world civilization and an important historical hub of the Great Silk Road, annually attracts large numbers of tourists from around the world. Almaty, in turn, is the largest business, financial, and cultural center of Kazakhstan.

         The Consulate General welcomes the resumption of air traffic and expresses confidence that these flights will contribute to the further development of bilateral contacts between the regions of the two countries.
