KazAID on the Global Stage: Kazakhstan Advances Dialogue with OECD on Development Finance Transparency

From March 9 to March 11, 2026, representatives of KazAID and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan took part in a meeting of the Working Group on Development Finance Statistics (WP-STAT), organized by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) in Paris.
The purpose of this event was to discuss the provision of statistical reporting for development, the possibility of sharing the results of official development assistance (ODA) data for 2024, as well as the introduction of new tools for collecting information from key organizations involved in the provision of ODA.
The OECD meeting was attended by more than 60 participants from 30 OECD DAC member countries, non-member OECD Development Assistance Committee (DAC) countries, international financial institutions and international donor organizations.
During the event, the Kazakh side shared its experience in providing statistical reporting and the results of coordination work in order to collect information in the field of ODA in cooperation with government agencies and organizations.
Within the framework of WP-STAT, a meeting was also held with the Head of the Global Engagement Department, Mr. Rolf Schwartz, and other representatives of the OECD DAC to discuss issues of further cooperation within the framework of the joint Roadmap with the OECD.
