First Vote on His Birthday: Referendum Day Became Special for a National Guard Soldier

Today, a nationwide referendum is being held in the country on the issue of a new Constitution. Servicemen of the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan are also actively participating in this important political campaign.
All military units of the National Guard have created the necessary conditions to conduct the referendum at a high level. In total, 36 polling stations have been opened, allowing guardsmen and their family members to exercise their constitutional right. The voting procedure has been organized in accordance with legal requirements, based on the principles of openness and transparency.
Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs — Commander-in-Chief of the National Guard, Major General Ansagan Baltabekov, was among the first to cast his vote at polling station No. 266.
This day became especially memorable for Private Artur Yarovoy, a serviceman of Military Unit 5573. He took part in voting for the first time in his life, and this significant event coincided with his birthday.
According to Artur, participating in a political campaign that is important for the future of the country while performing military service is a great responsibility. He noted that such moments show that every citizen cares about the fate of the state.
Officers, contract servicemen, their family members, veterans, and conscript soldiers are all taking part in the referendum. For many young servicemen, this has become their first voting experience.
The Commander-in-Chief of the National Guard congratulated the serviceman celebrating his birthday, as well as those taking part in a political campaign for the first time, and thanked them for their civic engagement.
Thus, on the day of the referendum, soldiers of the National Guard demonstrated not only their loyalty to the military oath, but also their clear civic stance at an important moment in the country’s life.
