New National Guard military infrastructure facilities under construction in Almaty and Turkestan

Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs — Commander-in-Chief of the National Guard, Major General Ansagan Baltabekov, conducted a working visit to the regional command “Oñtüstik,” where he inspected the progress of military construction projects in Almaty and Turkestan.

During the inspection, special attention was paid to the quality of construction and installation works, adherence to deadlines, and compliance of the facilities with modern standards.

In Almaty, the Commander-in-Chief reviewed the implementation of a project to accommodate an operational battalion in the Turksib district. At the site, where construction has been ongoing since 2022, the final stage of equipping buildings and preparing infrastructure for commissioning is nearing completion.

The complex includes barracks, a canteen, a medical unit, vehicle parks, engineering and logistics facilities, as well as infrastructure for the canine service.

In addition, construction continues in military unit 5571 on a five-story multifunctional building that will house a medical block and brigade units. The total capacity of the facility will exceed 400 servicemen.

In Turkestan, Major General Ansagan Baltabekov inspected the construction of a National Guard military camp being developed on an area of 10 hectares. Work is currently underway on the erection of main structures and engineering infrastructure.

At the same time, construction of new military camps and barracks is ongoing in the cities of Kyzylorda, Zhezkazgan, Uralsk, and Atyrau, reflecting systematic efforts to create modern service conditions for law enforcement troops personnel.

The implementation of these projects is aimed at developing modern military infrastructure, strengthening the material and technical base, and enhancing the operational readiness of units.

Following the visit, the Commander-in-Chief issued a number of instructions to improve the quality and pace of construction, emphasizing that the facilities being built must meet modern standards and fully support the needs of personnel and the tasks of the law enforcement troops.
