The Department of State Revenue for the Mangystau region recalls that the deadline for payment of vehicle tax for 2025 for individuals expires on April 1, 2026.

The tax is calculated independently in accordance with the rates established by the tax legislation. At the same time, the monthly calculation index (MCI), effective in 2025, is applied in the amount of 3,932 tenge.

At the same time, the tax authorities annually calculate the tax on vehicles of individuals for the relevant tax period in order to determine the balance of calculations. Information about the accrued tax amounts is sent to users of mobile applications of second-tier banks in the form of PUSH notifications.

We remind you that starting from April 2, 2026, a penalty will be charged for each day of late payment of taxes. If there are tax arrears and accrued penalties, from May 10 of this year, the tax authorities will apply penalties.

If the amount owed exceeds 1 MCI, a tax order for debt collection is sent to the debtor. If the debt is not paid off within 5 business days from the date of delivery of the tax order, it is sent to a private bailiff for enforcement.

In turn, private bailiffs have the right to apply enforcement measures, including seizing bank accounts and property. In addition, if the amount owed exceeds 40 MCI, a citizen may be temporarily restricted from leaving the Republic of Kazakhstan.
