On March 27, 2026, the Consulate General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Busan participated in the official opening ceremony of the Passport Service Center at Gimhae International Airport (Busan).

This is a significant event for the transport infrastructure of the southern region of the Republic of Korea:

First in the regions: Gimhae has become the first regional airport in the country where an emergency passport issuance service has been launched.
365/24 operation: The Center will provide assistance to passengers in unexpected situations daily, around the clock, without days off.
Interagency cooperation: The project was implemented thanks to effective cooperation between the Busan Metropolitan Government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea.

The development of services at Gimhae Airport significantly improves the convenience and safety of international travel for residents and visitors of the region.
