STREET NAMED AFTER WAR VETERAN IN MUNAILY DISTRICT

In accordance with Order No. 211 of the Minister of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated August 1, 2023, "On approval of the Rules for taking into account the opinion of the population of the relevant territory when naming administrative-territorial units, constituent parts of settlements, as well as clarifying and changing the transcription of their names," today, on April 1, a street in the "Sherkala" residential area of Mangystau village, Munaily district, was named after the Great Patriotic War veteran Kutysh Manatov in honor of the 80th anniversary of the Victory.
Kutysh Manatov was born in 1916 in the city of Fort-Shevchenko, Guryev region (now Tupkaragan district, Mangystau region). His childhood coincided with a period of great hardship, and in 1942, at the age of 26, he went to the front of the Great Patriotic War. After being severely wounded and receiving medical treatment, the soldier was returned home in 1943.
Upon returning to his homeland, he served as a teacher and made a significant contribution to the field of education. Together with his wife, Baktyly Zhaparbaikyzy, he raised seven children, establishing an exemplary family legacy. He passed away in 2003.
Kutysh Manatov, a veteran of the Great Patriotic War, was awarded the Order of "Courageous Warrior" and several "For Courage" medals.
