Kazakh Film Week Held in Geneva

Geneva, 31 March – 2 April 2026 – The Permanent Mission of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the United Nations Office and other International Organizations in Geneva, in collaboration with the national film studio Qazaqfilm and with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, successfully organized Kazakh Film Week.
The program featured three films -“Dawn of the Great Steppe,” “The Composer,” and “Amre” - highlighting key moments in Kazakhstan’s history, as well as its spiritual traditions and rich cultural heritage.
The event brought together members of the diplomatic community, representatives of international organizations, and the Kazakh diaspora. It provided a platform for cultural exchange and introduced audiences to contemporary Kazakh cinema.
Screenings took place in the Kazakh Room at the Palais des Nations, a prominent venue for international dialogue and cultural initiatives.
Kazakh Film Week attracted strong interest, reaffirming the role of cultural diplomacy as an effective means of strengthening mutual understanding and fostering intercultural dialogue.
