On April 8, 2026, at the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Zhambyl Region, the Department of State Revenue, together with the Department of State Revenue of Taraz, held an explanatory seminar for business entities on the topic "Product Labeling and Control".

🔹 During the seminar, the Head of the Department's Department, E. Nurmahanbetov, focused on the main innovations in the "Product Labeling" system. This included: the purpose of labeling: 1) combating the shadow economy, this method puts a barrier to counterfeit and illegal products; 2) protecting business. Honest entrepreneurs work in equal conditions. Equal conditions are created for all entrepreneurs; 3) protecting the consumer. The buyer can be sure of the quality of the product. What products are included in the list of products subject to mandatory labeling (tobacco products; footwear products; medicines; saiga derivatives; brewing products; motor oils). The labeling system allows for real-time control of product circulation.

▫️ The next speaker was Kadyrbek B., Head of the Department of Indirect Taxes, who explained the issues of marking excise goods (tobacco and beer products) in more detail.

▫️ During the seminar, the participants were also provided with explanations on the National Product Catalogue and the need to switch to version 2.0.3 of the protocol for cash registers.

🔹 At the end of the seminar, the speakers answered the participants' questions regarding product labeling within their area of expertise.
