On April 20, a book discussion evening titled “Book and Discussion Platform” was held at the Saken Seifullin Central Library. The event provided an open forum where participants exchanged views on the importance of books in human life and their role in spiritual development. Readers freely shared their thoughts and impressions of the books they had read, contributing to a lively and meaningful dialogue. Honored guests included lecturers of the “Mizam” mobile literary school - poet and journalist, member of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan, editor-in-chief of the regional newspaper “Zhetysu” Zhumatay Ospanuly, and poet, prize winner of national and regional poetry contests, correspondent of “Egemen Kazakhstan” Mukhtar Kumisbek. They spoke about the goals and activities of the literary school, support for young writers, and future development plans. Students of the “Mizam” literary school also actively participated in the discussion, sharing their reading experiences and emphasizing the positive impact of the literary environment on their creative growth. They also reflected on the number of books they read annually and the works that left the strongest impression on them. In the main session, participants discussed plotlines, characters, and ideas of various literary works, fostering critical thinking and a culture of open expression. The program also included an intellectual game “Who is Clever?”, where participants competed in word-building tasks, adding energy and engagement to the evening. At the conclusion of the event, active participants and mentors of the “Mizam” literary school were presented with certificates of appreciation. The meeting was marked by rich discussion and an open exchange of ideas, inspiring participants and strengthening the connection between readers and the literary community.
