On April 23, Kazakhstan celebrates National Book Day — a state holiday established in 2024 on the initiative of the Head of State, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

This day is intended to emphasize the importance of reading and literature in society, and to promote the development of cultural and spiritual potential, especially among young people.

✨ In honor of this significant occasion, the Central District Library held a vibrant library festival titled

“Жаратылыстардың түсініксіз құпиясы!” (“The Unfathomable Mystery of Creations!”).

🎉 The festival began with a solemn and warm mission — honoring our most dedicated readers:

🏆 “Reader and Inspirer” — Berezhetskaya Elena Ivanovna

🏆 “Reading Family” — Dergunov Anatoly Vasilyevich and Lyudmila Evgenievna

🏆 “Young Library Reader” — Muldasheva Dilara

🏆 “Faithful Friend of the Library” — Chugunkova Elizaveta Grigoryevna

🏆 “Honored Keeper of Books” — Medvedeva Nadezhda Trofimovna

🏆 “Literary Partners” — Pastushenko Lyubov Ivanovna and Naumova Valentina Ivanovna

🏆 “For Loyalty to Books and Reading” — Khrypchenko Vladimir Vasilyevich

🏆 “Reader with a Kind Heart” — Gys Tamara Viktorovna

🏆 “Master of Artistic Expression” — Sarsekeyeva Dina Mnaydarovna

🏆 “Honored Reader” — Trufanova Ekaterina Rikhardovna

🤝 For fruitful cooperation, the following were recognized:

The District Veterans Council, the Beimbet Mailin Local History Museum, the District House of Culture named after Yeleubay Umurzakov, the MRC, and Baizhanova Natalya Mikhailovna — Chief Specialist of the Internal Policy Department.

📖 Within the festival, engaging activities were held:

— a quiz about books and writers conducted by librarian Yulia Alexandrovna

— the game “Find the Odd One Out and Name the Work” by Nina Olegovna

🌟 This day became a true celebration of books, communication, and inspiration.

It once again proved that no matter how much technology develops, the book remains an eternal value — a source of knowledge, wisdom, and spiritual warmth.

💛 We sincerely thank our readers for their love of books, loyalty to the library, and for bringing it to life.

May every page you read open new horizons, inspire good deeds, and make the world around us brighter and richer.
