National Guard Sambo Championship concludes

The National Guard Championship in sport and combat sambo has concluded in Uralsk. This major national competition was dedicated to the Cup of the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan — Commander-in-Chief of the National Guard, and was also timed to the 155th anniversary of Qajymukan Munaitpasuly.
Over three days of intense bouts, around 100 servicemen of the law enforcement troops demonstrated their skills on the mat, showcasing a high level of strength, endurance, and determination. Winners were determined in various weight categories, and the overall level of combat and athletic training of the guardsmen was assessed.
During the award ceremony, Commander-in-Chief of the National Guard, Major General Ansagan Baltabekov, and Akim of Uralsk Murat Baimenov addressed the participants, congratulating the winners and prizewinners.
They noted that such sporting events play an important role not only in improving the professional training of servicemen but also in strengthening the fighting spirit of the personnel.
According to the results of the championship, the team of Regional Command “Batys” took first place in the team standings. Second place went to Regional Command “Oñtüstik,” while third place was secured by athletes from Regional Command “Ortalyk.”
It is worth noting that the best athletes who demonstrated high results at this tournament will represent the National Guard at the Cup of the Minister of Internal Affairs, which will be held in May in the city of Semey.
